Just a bit of fun

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Instead of testing Cycles glass settings and working on her archviz portfolio Blendermama got carried away with season mirth. With all the renders of snowmen and Santa and ornaments around and having developed a sort of addiction for Blenderguru contests I couldn’t help giving the Xmas one a try. I think this is the lightest 3d image I ever made, seems that I am expanding my portfolio! The image above is just a peep in the scene, still working on it, guess what’s going on? 🙂 I’m also rendering it with Cycles, works great! I’ll post the finished image in a couple of days.

The addiction of virtual visualising

Posted by: | Comments (4)

3D visualisations for architecture are a necessary tool but at one point this can become an addiction. Here I am, blending a simple picture display for my living room wall. It’s true my husband is not an architect and it’s a good idea for him to have a clear image of what’s in my head before he starts hammering nails in the wall. But the hidden truth is that I just can’t help doing it.

Currently blending: recycling bin

I’m posting this just for the fun of it:

Sometimes weird projects throw themselves my way. A friend needed a nice image of a recycling bin so I thought I could easily model one for him.

Blog work

Posted by: | Comments (4)

Sorry for repeating posts but I’m trying to organise my blog somehow and have been fiddling with pages and categories to find out how this would work best.

Conclusion was I should continue to add all new info as blog posts and if I write something really useful and focused then I can link it to the How to section.  I tried to add articles there as pages but couldn’t have them display comments or be categorised so it was not a good idea. I’m not too skilled with wordpress 🙂

Vacation over…

Posted by: | Comments (2)

boat

This is not a render 🙂 but a happy moment in Corfu Greece. It’s also not blender related – I must admit I didn’t even think of Blender while taking the picture – but wanted to let people know I’m back from my vacation and share a bit of sea blue with anyone needing it.

I should be working already but I have been feeling really and unusually weary today, maybe something related to the flight?

Hope I’ll feel better tomorrow as I have been keeping an eye on Blender guru’s Nature academy teasers and I have a mind to join in if budget allows (price has been a great mystery up to now).
